Achievements

Craft your first item

How to unlock: Make any single item at a workbench or forge. The fastest trigger is learning Smithing from Huno in the Old Camp and forging one weapon, but crafting a potion or scroll counts just as well.

Kill 10 enemies with headshots

How to unlock: Score the killing blow on 10 enemies with a headshot. You can weaken a target however you like as long as the final hit lands on the head. An early bow is easy to grab by finding Drax's hunting knife in the clearing with the hanged man on the road from the starting valley to the Old Camp; this usually unlocks on its own during normal play.

Join Old Camp

How to unlock: Get accepted into the Old Camp by earning three trust points with Diego, then have Thorus admit you to the inner courtyard for the audience with Gomez. Build trust through tasks like the Mordrag/Thorus 'Out of Sight' job, retrieving Nek's amulet for Sly, stealing Scatty's ring for Fingers, beating Kirgo for Scatty, and lifting the Swamp Camp recipe for Dexter, and complete Diego's Test of Faith without anyone spotting the list. Since only one camp can be joined per run, save before committing and reload to chase the other camp achievements.

Unlock 20 locks with lockpicking

How to unlock: Pick 20 locks. You can lockpick from the very start as long as you carry lockpicks, but the Lockpicking skill itself must first be learned from Fingers in the Old Camp (mention Diego) or Wedge in the New Camp.

Exhaust all of Mud's dialogue options

How to unlock: Hear every one of Mud's dialogue lines. You meet him near the field kitchen left of the Old Camp castle gate, and he then trails you, blurting a new line roughly every minute. You need all 24: two from the opening chat, 20 that cycle as you wait, and the final two that play after you knock him out. This is easy to lose, so just stand still in camp and let him talk; do not beat him early or drag him around the colony, since he can leave or die.

Join Swamp Camp

How to unlock: Win the Swamp Camp's trust by satisfying four of its gurus. Have Lester point you toward Namib, run the tired novice's errand for Oran (which leads to the swampweed quota delivery to Cor Kalom), use the Sleep scroll on a novice while Kagar watches, finish Tondral's New Flock task by bringing Dusty over from the Old Camp, and earn Tion's favor via Idol Kagan's joint-distribution job in the New Camp cave. Because you can only join one camp per run, do the joining work, hard-save, then reload to grab the other camp achievements separately.

Craft 5 weapons

How to unlock: Forge 5 weapons after learning Smithing from Huno in the Old Camp, which hands you four recipes right away. The simplest route is to hammer out five copies of the same blade; if your raw materials run short, complete two weapons and Huno opens a side task to smelt five sickles, supplying everything you need.

Join New Camp

How to unlock: Get accepted into the New Camp by earning three trust points with Lares. Useful tasks include slipping past the guard Roscoe with a Charm scroll, killing the snapper for Homer at the dam, watering the rice farmers (or beating Lefty if that fails), and Lares's Swampweed Dealer job; you also need to bring Ian's list from the Old Mine, finish two Rice Lord side quests, and complete Raid after gaining his trust. Only one camp can be joined per playthrough, so save first and reload to also grab the other camp achievements.

Complete Chapter 2

How to unlock: Complete Chapter 2, the Brotherhood-driven arc that has every camp hunt down Cor Kalom's apprentice, secure the Strange Amulet, fetch a Focus Stone, raid the Minecrawler Nest to kill the Queen, and survive the ritual at the Sleeper Temple.

Rank Up in any Guild

How to unlock: Advance one rank in any faction. Simply progressing your chosen camp's joining path, for example going from a New Camp Rogue to a Mercenary or an Old Camp Shadow to a Guard, satisfies this.

Get Ore Armor

How to unlock: Claim Gomez's Ore Armor in Chapter 5. During The Dreamer's Nightmare, return Uriziel and five gems to Xardas, then ask him twice about better armor so he points you to the Sunken Tower. Bring Diving plus Fire Arrow, Ice Arrow, and Fist of Wind, open the sealed door (Wind on the center, Ice on the middle ring, Fire on the outer ring), grab the teleport rune, then confront Gomez and pick the dialogue ending with 'I brought what you asked for' to receive his chest key.

Defeat 10 enemies using your fists

How to unlock: Land the killing blow on 10 enemies bare-handed. You may soften them up any way you like as long as the final strike is a fist. Punching meatbugs to death counts too, so just hit them instead of stomping them.

Pickpocket from 20 characters

How to unlock: Pickpocket 20 different characters. Learn the skill first from Fingers in the Old Camp (mention Diego) or Wedge in the New Camp, then sneak up behind any NPC carrying a belt pouch and trigger the prompt. Success scales with how far your Dexterity exceeds the target's.

Kill an enemy by using fall damage

How to unlock: Finish off an enemy with fall damage instead of a weapon. The cleanest setup is the New Camp mine: knock the mercenary Okyl off the edge of the wooden platform he stands on above the shaft.

Craft your first scroll

How to unlock: Scribe your first scroll at a lectern after learning scroll-writing from the Fire Mage Torrez in the Old Camp (ask to be taught magic, then finish his task for two wolf fangs and parchment) or, with Chapter 1 Swamp Camp approval, from Idol Kadar. Lecterns are freely usable in both the New Camp and the Swamp Camp.

Read 10 books

How to unlock: Read 10 books over the course of the game. You will clear this almost automatically by working through Cavalorn's five Bestiary of Khorinis volumes and the six Chromanin books for The Stranger, with extra reading material waiting in the Water Mages' library in Chapter 4.

Parry an enemy 5 times without dodging or receiving damage

How to unlock: Block five enemy hits back to back without dodging or getting touched. First train your weapon skill with Scatty (Old Camp) or Cord (New Camp) to unlock parrying. The two bandits ambushing from a ledge near Cavalorn's hut are an ideal test dummy; any damage you take before you begin the parry streak does not count against you.

Complete Chapter 3

How to unlock: Finish Chapter 3, which centers on gathering all five Focus Stones with the Water Mages (Saturas) to bring down the magic barrier, ending with Flames to the Flood. If you joined the Old Camp, expect to be thrown out as that quest plays out.

Complete Chapter 4

How to unlock: Complete Chapter 4, the stretch where Saturas sends you deep into orc territory to track down the reclusive mage Xardas in his tower after Gomez slaughters the Fire Mages.

Complete Chapter 5

How to unlock: Complete Chapter 5, the endgame stretch involving the Orc City and the assault toward the Sleeper. This is also where you can pick up the Orc City map and the Ore Armor questline.

Complete Chapter 6

How to unlock: Complete Chapter 6, the game's finale inside the Temple of the Sleeper. Defeating the Sleeper and escaping caps the campaign and pops this one.

Enter the Sleeper Temple

How to unlock: Enter the Temple of the Sleeper, the endgame dungeon you reach as the main story climaxes. The achievement triggers on first entry; once inside you can also grab the Temple sketch near the statue in the room to the left.

Learn Orcish Level 2

How to unlock: Reach Orcish Level 2, which Ur-Shak teaches out in the Orc lands. You pick it up automatically as the main story advances, so no detour is required.

Complete “Escape Plan” Quest

How to unlock: Complete the Escape Plan questline that runs through cook Sira in the Old Camp. Start 'Dealing with Bullit' in the kitchen once you can enter the inner courtyard, advance to 'Secrets' in Chapter 3 after the Orc Cemetery visit, and in Chapter 4 (after Flame and Waves) sneak back in, read the note on Sira's corpse, and reach the remaining women in Gomez's room to trigger the ending. The bulk of the chain must be done before Chapter 4.

Complete Cavalorn Books Quests

How to unlock: Finish all five Bestiary of Khorinis book quests for Cavalorn, the archery trainer who lives in a hut on the road between the Old and New Camps. Track down each volume (Jan's fishing hut by the New Camp; the Old Mine near Aleph; the orc-lands cave; Shrat's house in the Swamp Camp; and Xardas's Tower), gather the trophy each one asks for, and bring them to Cavalorn. Grab the Old Mine volume before it collapses, or buy that volume's replacement from Wolf later.

Complete Chromanin Quests

How to unlock: Complete the entire Chromanin book series by collecting and reading all six volumes in order for The Stranger quest. Start with the volume looted from the skeleton mage in the dungeon beneath the lighthouse, then track the rest to the New Camp fishing hut, the Abandoned Fort library, the Old Camp torture chamber, the bell-room ruins in the orc lands, and finally back to the lighthouse dungeon to read the last book and claim the chest reward.

Get all the Maps

How to unlock: Own every map in the colony. Most arrive automatically through the story, but you must also buy the camp maps from their traders (Idol Kadar for the Swamp Camp map, Cronos for the New Camp map) and obtain the Colony Map and Old Camp Map, commonly looted from Graham. In Chapter 5 take the Orc City map from the Orc leader's stone table and grab the Sleeper Temple sketch near the statue inside the temple to complete the set.

Get master in all Melee Weapons

How to unlock: Reach Master rank in every melee discipline: one-handed (Scatty in the Old Camp or Cord in the New Camp), two-handed (Thorus or Lee, gated behind Guard or Mercenary status), and Orc weapons (Chocta in the Orc City, after you have the Ulu-Mulu and beat his trial fights). Stockpile learning points and avoid pouring XP into Strength or Dexterity so you can afford every tier.

Get master in all Ranged Weapons

How to unlock: Reach Master rank in both ranged weapons: the bow (Wolf in the New Camp or Cavalorn at his hut on the Old-Camp-to-New-Camp path) and the crossbow (Scorpio, in the Old Camp courtyard if you are a Guard, or at Cavalorn's hut from Chapter 4 onward with no requirement). Save enough learning points for the Trained and Master tiers of each.

Get the 6th Magic Circle

How to unlock: Reach the Sixth Circle of Magic, learned only from Xardas in his tower after you already hold the Fifth Circle. Both viable paths funnel through the New Camp Water Mages (Saturas teaches Circles 1 through 5): either join the New Camp directly, or join the Old Camp and defect to the New Camp in Chapter 4. Never join the Swamp Camp, as it locks you out of the Fifth and Sixth Circles entirely.

Sneak into the Old Camp

How to unlock: Sneak into the Old Camp after Chapter 3 makes you unwelcome there. Head to the ruined house on the path between the Old Camp and the Swamp Camp, turn into a meatbug, and squeeze through the crack in the door; the achievement fires the moment you are inside (this is the secret route Milten reveals during the story).

Visit Xardas' room

How to unlock: Step inside Xardas's private chambers in Chapter 5. Buy a Transform into Harpy scroll from Cronos (New Camp) or Idol Kadar (Swamp Camp), teleport to Xardas's Tower, use the scroll on the balcony, fly up to his room, and change back.

Get all the mods for an Armor

How to unlock: Buy all 18 upgrades for a single armor set (6 chest, 6 belt, 6 greaves), which runs about 5,700 ore. The cheapest target is the starter Ghost armor from Fisk or the Rogue armor from Wolf. Save your ore, purchase every upgrade, exit the dialogue to trigger the unlock, then reload if you want your ore back.

Transform into all creatures

How to unlock: Use all 17 transformation scrolls. Buy them from the magic-item sellers Cronos (New Camp) or Idol Kadar (Swamp Camp); their inventory grows with the story and is fully stocked by Chapter 5. Idol Kadar is the better source since he carries every transformation type, so buy the full set from him, use them all, then reload your save.

Craft 10 potions

How to unlock: Brew 10 potions at an alchemy bench after picking up the Alchemy skill. You learn it from a mage faction (Damarok for the Fire Mages, Riordian for the Water Mages), which only opens up once the story has taken you to the Orc Cemetery. Joining or at least starting a mage's recruitment chain gives you the lab access you need.

Spare Gomez’s Life

How to unlock: Spare Gomez during the Chapter 5 confrontation in the Old Camp castle. Reach him after the Sunken Tower detour (bring Xardas the sword Uriziel and five gems, then follow his armor leads), and in the conversation choose to let him live rather than killing him; this ties into the same questline that yields the Ore Armor.

Deal all 3 elemental damage types to the same enemy

How to unlock: Land all three elemental status effects on one target: Burning, Shock, and Freeze. A plain elemental hit is not enough, so apply the actual effects using elemental runes or spell scrolls on the same enemy.

Learn all the lessons.

How to unlock: Learn every trainable lesson in a single playthrough: all combat, movement, special, crafting, hunting, and magic skills, plus raising your Magic Circle to the Sixth. This requires completing Cavalorn's Bestiary quests for his hunting skills and never joining the Swamp Camp (it blocks the higher Circles). Use Low difficulty for the XP, skip attribute investment, and follow the New Camp to Mercenary to Water Mage route; expect to also pop several skill-mastery achievements along the way.

Complete the game without sleeping

How to unlock: Reach the ending without ever sleeping. Sleep normally just heals you and skips time, so the only real cost is patience, since you will occasionally have to wait out the clock for morning or night to deal with certain NPCs. This is doable on a first run if you are comfortable with the game.

Complete the game in permadeath mode

How to unlock: Beat the entire game in permadeath mode, which restricts you to a single save slot, so one death ends the run. Unless you know the game well, save this for a later playthrough; you can enable it from the start via Custom Settings.

Get all Achievements

How to unlock: Earn every other achievement in the game. Plan for at least two playthroughs and heavy save-scumming, since the three camp-membership achievements are mutually exclusive in a single run and several others are missable.

How to unlock: Collect every other achievement in the game. Budget for two or more playthroughs and frequent save-and-reload, because the camp-membership achievements cannot all be earned in one run and a number of others can be permanently missed.
