Cavalorn's hut (wilderness, outside the camps) — Chapter 1: Lives alone out in the Colony; he is a trader and a hunting/bow trainer. His hut is also where some Old-Camp defectors relocate later (e.g. Scorpio sets up here to trade and teach crossbow after he quits the Old Camp).

Cavalorn: Hunt. Scavengers, mostly.
You: Can you teach me something about hunting?
Cavalorn: Depends. What do you want to know?
You: Can you teach me to become better with a bow?
Cavalorn: The biggest mistake almost every beginner makes is lockin' the elbow on their bow arm when they pull. Don't ever do that - it'll mess with your aim.
Cavalorn: Also, keep your shoulders relaxed - it's hard, but it'll make a world of difference.
Cavalorn: That should be enough for a start. Now practice, practice, and then practice some more.
Cavalorn: You'll figure it out.
Cavalorn: Fair enough. You've got some skill already, I can work with that.
Cavalorn: First of all, don't strain too much when you're aimin' - that'll only add to your sway.
Cavalorn: Second, try to really root yourself to the ground when you're takin' stance. It sounds stupid, but FUSE yourself to the earth when you aim.
Cavalorn: Finally, control your breathin'. Hold it right until you loose the arrow. Makes a world of difference.
You: Any idea where I can get a bow?
Cavalorn: From me, actually. I make and sell the best bows in the Colony.
You: Show me those bows you're selling.
