Does not speak to outsiders; you gain his support during admission by giving him the special Dreamcall smoke roll ("please accept this humble present"), which gives him a vision and earns his recommendation.
Swamp Camp — Chapter 1: Guru you must win over for admission; values visions, won over by giving him the special Dreamcall smoke roll so he has a vision
Baal Tyon can be found in the Swamp Camp (Guru).
You: Hello there. I'm new to this place.
Baal Tyon: (sighs)
You: The wisdom sleeps in your eyes, Master.
Baal Tyon: (sighs)
You: I come seeking guidance, Master.
Baal Tyon: (sigh)
You: Master, please accept this humble present from a humble seeker.
Baal Tyon: Hmmm ....
Baal Tyon: By the Sleeper! I just had a vision!
Baal Tyon: It was ... incredible. I saw a new Brother arrive, but he was unlike all those who came before him.
Baal Tyon: I ... I saw him do something. He was going down an ancient stone stairway, a sword in his hand. And that's where the vision ends.
Baal Tyon: Hmm ... and I must say, he looked quite a lot like you. Who are you? What did you put in that roll? Is this some kind of trick?
You: No, Master. I'm just a humble servant of the Sleeper.
Baal Tyon: Hmm ... Well, the vision DID feel powerful. Fine, then - go see Cor Kalom, and tell him you have my recommendation. Such signs must be heeded.
