Pester him with the line about the scavengersscavengersMonster · Level 5 · 40 HP three times until he agrees to help.
2. 2Collect 5 kingstidekingstidePotions & Food algae, which grow underwater at the bottoms of lakes. The easiest spot is the small lake in the abandoned fishing village south of the New CampNew CampLocation; upgrading your Diving skill lets you stay under longer to spot the thin, purple-flowered plants.
3. 3Bring the 5 kingstidekingstidePotions & Food back to CohselCohselNPC · Level 7 · 100 HP. He then asks for materials to make the scavengerscavengerMonster · Level 5 · 40 HP's saddle.
4. 4Buy 3 wolf skins for about 6 nuggets each, two from CavalornCavalornMerchant · Level 8 · 100 HP near his hut and one from MordragMordragMerchant · Level 10 · 250 HP · Old Camp (in the Old CampOld CampLocation before the marketplace, or at the New CampNew CampLocation lake tavern if he survived Out of Sight). If MordragMordragMerchant · Level 10 · 250 HP · Old Camp is dead, sleep 12 hours to reset CavalornCavalornMerchant · Level 8 · 100 HP's stock for the third skin.
5. 5Buy 2 leather stripsleather stripsAlchemy & Misc for around 8 nuggets each from a blacksmith or weapon merchant, such as FiskFiskMerchant · Level 7 · 124 HP · Old Camp in the Old CampOld CampLocation market or SharkySharkyMerchant · Level 8 · 136 HP · New Camp in the New CampNew CampLocation.
6. 6Hand all the materials to CohselCohselNPC · Level 7 · 100 HP. He tells you to return the next day, so sleep in a bed for 12 hours to pass the time.
7. 7Speak to CohselCohselNPC · Level 7 · 100 HP again and ask about the scavengerscavengerMonster · Level 5 · 40 HP to finish the quest. You receive 300 XP, the Scavenger WhistleScavenger WhistleSpecial Items, the ScavengerScavengerMonster · Level 5 · 40 HP Riding skill, and your own rideable scavengerscavengerMonster · Level 5 · 40 HP mount, which you summon by using the whistle from your quick-item slot.
