Thorus sets you a job to prove yourself to the Old Camp: round up three diggers, escort them to the Exchange Zone, and back up 
Kirgo when the bandits come for him. The bandits hit hard, so be ready for a real fight before you report back.
Most of this is travel with one stiff fight at the end, so pack for the road and the brawl.
- Healing potions.
- Food.
- A decent weapon.
- Good armor if you have it.
First, sign up three diggers from around the Old Camp. This takes some trial and error. Ask the diggers one by one to come with you. Some flat out refuse, some want money, some just need convincing, and some come along if you are on good enough terms. Once three are on board, check that they are actually following you before you set off.
With your three diggers in tow, leave the Old Camp through the north gate, the wooden one, and cross the bridge. Glance back to make sure the whole group is still trailing you.
Over the bridge, turn right and follow the path straight on. You are heading back toward the Exchange Zone, the spot from the very start of the game. Keep to the edge of the mountain as the path climbs.
At the corner near the top, hostile enemies are waiting, and this first group is tough enough that it is worth avoiding.
- Stay on the grass.
- Keep clear of the enemy by the stone on the left.
- Carry on along the grass and ignore the man on the right, who should leave you alone.
- Drop back onto the road once you are past.
Done right, the first group never notices you.
Keep following the road up, go left, and pass under the open gate. The area should start to look familiar, with the large body of water where 
Diego pulled you out earlier. Carry on around to the right.
Ahead you find the man you came for. Talk to Kirgo and run his dialogue out. As soon as you are done, bandits show up and attack.
The bandits are strong, so take it steady and lean on your potions. You have to kill them outright, not just knock them down. Once they are dead, loot the bodies, since they carry useful gear. Then speak to Kirgo again, who is grateful for the help. That settles the Exchange Zone part.
Head back down from the Exchange Zone toward the Old Camp. At the bridge near the camp, turn left across it and go back inside. Find Thorus, tell him how it went, and the quest is done once the dialogue ends.
