You cannot walk into the Orc Enclave without an
Ulu-Mulu, a sacred standard every orc respects. Tarrok, an orc held captive in the Free Mine, can make one for you, but first he wants trophies from four of the deadliest creatures in the Colony: the tongue of a
Fire Lizard, the
horn of a Great Shadowbeast, the
teeth of a Swampshark Mother, and the tusks of a
Troll. Hunt all four, carry the trophies to his cell, and he forges the banner. Then he wants to fight you for it.
These four fights are no joke, the Great Shadowbeast most of all, so go in stocked.
- Plenty of healing potions.
- The strongest armor you own.
- A solid melee weapon.
- Enough ore to buy a
Summon Golem scroll from
Xardas. - Cooked meat as backup healing.
The Great Shadowbeast hits hard enough to end the fight in a couple of swings. A
Summon Golem scroll is the difference between a clean kill and a reload.
Make your way down to Shipwreck Beach. A
Fire Lizard prowls the sand here. Put it down, loot the body, and take its tongue, the first of the four trophies.
Before you go anywhere near the Great Shadowbeast, travel to
Xardas and buy a
Summon Golem scroll from him. Bring enough ore to afford it. The
Stone Golem it calls up soaks the beast's attention while you carve it down, which turns the worst fight in the quest into a manageable one.
The beast lairs in a cave set into the rocks along the quest route. Stop at the entrance before you push in, read the
Summon Golem scroll there to call up a
Stone Golem, then step inside.
Do not rush the Great Shadowbeast head-on. It can drop you fast if it gets a clean run at you.
Let the golem pull its attention and attack from the flank. If the golem falls, the beast should be low enough to finish off. Loot it for the horn.
Head to the lower end of the Swamp Camp and into the boggy forest below it. The
Swampshark Mother lives in the water down here, and she is easy to pick out from the normal
Swampsharks: larger, and much paler, almost white. One way in is to jump into the water, cross to the forested stretch, and search the bottom of the area. Kill her and take her teeth.
The last trophy comes from a
Troll up in the north, around the high ground where the
trolls roam during the Focus Stone hunt with Milton. Cross the bridge and keep heading north. You do not have to follow the path exactly: after the bend, climb the hill, cut over the cave, and make for the stairs at the top. The
Troll waits in the upper section.
Trolls telegraph everything. Block the swing, wait for it to finish, then land your hits and back off. Patience takes it down without much risk.
Once it is dead, loot the tusks. That is the fourth and final trophy, so all four are in hand.
With every trophy collected, make for the Free Mine where Tarrok is held. From the New Camp's cave village, go outside and hug the left side, following the path around. You pass Wolf on the way and may catch a short scene with him. Stay on the linear path, clearing whatever blocks it, until you reach a cave entrance, and head in.
The cave runs mostly straight. Push through the rats and other vermin until you come out near
Gorn and the others, then keep going under the low arch into the open quarry.
The quarry is worth a sweep for loot, and there is a pond where you can cook meat if your healing is running low. Drop to the very bottom and go through the gateway, dealing with the guards who try to stop you.
At the closed gate, duck into the small room on the left and turn the wheel to open it. Carry on down the linear path beyond, and grab the chest of potions on the right before you move on.
You reach a large open section full of human enemies. Clear them, push into the next area, and go up to the right through more of them. From there, drop down by ladder or by jumping, leave the area, and fight through another group of humans.
Now the route spirals down: up onto the wooden platform, left, around to the left, then down and left again, until you reach a spider beside a small pond.
By the spiders, go left, climb the stone wall, crouch under the low passage, turn around, and take the stairs down. A few more spiders guard the bottom. Clear them, and Tarrok's cell is on the right.
Speak to Tarrok and hand over the four trophies. With everything he asked for, he sets to work on the
Ulu-Mulu. While he forges it, take the chance to explore and loot anything you walked past.
When the banner is finished, Tarrok wants to fight you for it, a last test of sorts. Block his attacks and strike back between them and he goes down without much trouble. Loot him afterward to claim the
Ulu-Mulu, which finishes the quest.
